Urgent Care at Our Maysville Location

Below is more information about our urgent care services in Maysville.

What Is Urgent Care?

Urgent Care is a relatively new form of health care. These facilities are not emergency rooms but are also not traditional doctor’s offices.

If you have an urgent health matter — something that’s not life-threatening but should be treated soon — you may not be able to get into a private practice office. You also may not want to spend the time and money on a visit to an emergency room.

That’s where Urgent Care comes in handy.

Urgent Care Conditions Treated at Our Maysville Location

Our Maysville location is ready to serve you if you are dealing with any of the following:

  • Accidents and falls
  • Cuts and smaller wounds that may need stitching
  • Mild to moderate asthma symptoms
  • Eye issues – redness and irritation
  • Flu and cold
  • Minor broken bones
  • Sore throat or cough
  • Skin rashes and allergic reactions
  • Seasonal allergies
  • Sprains and strains

Supporting the health of the Maysville community means making our services affordable to everyone, no matter your economic status.

Quality Care

The providers we employ are as qualified as providers anywhere else you may receive care. These health experts are here to listen and put your specific needs at the center of your treatment.

When To Go to an Emergency Room

Although we’d love to treat you, you shouldn’t always come to one of our Fast Pace Health clinics. ERs are better suited to handle more serious health issues. If you or a loved one is having a medical emergency, get to the nearest hospital.

These are some conditions considered medical emergencies:

  • Any loss of consciousness
  • Seizures and convulsions
  • Deep wounds with uncontrollable bleeding
  • Issues with a pregnancy
  • Severe burns
  • Poisoning
  • Significant head, neck, or back injuries

Having had to travel from state to state due to a death in our family, I needed to find a place quickly to get a COVID test completed. During my travel from Indiana down to Kentucky, I tasked my husband with trying to find a facility that … More would complete a test. He looked up anywhere nears Mayslick (my destination). He, of course, found the emergency room at a local hospital but after calling, it was over $400.00 for the test and it wasn't even a rapid test. No thanks!
We ended up finding Fast Pace Health Urgent Care of Maysville. I pulled in, opened the door and was immediately greeting by a lovely lady. I stated that I was traveling from Maryland, to Indiana, to Kentucky, and finally back home to Maryland due to a death in the family and that I need a COVID test completed. She immediately began informing me of the timeline for results and the amount for the test. She was upfront, professional, and very kind. I ended up paying exactly $190.00 for the test. Which was a sting knowing that there a re so many other places that are free but it didn't downplay the facility. Everyone and everything about the facility were clean, professional, orderly, and efficient.
The ONLY possible complaint/concern I have was the wait. I believe there was only one doctor at the facility that day and I was literally the ONLY patient there. The receptionist mentioned to me that I was the only one there. It took about 30 minutes to process my information, take my payment, then to be seen by the doctor for the test. When I was escorted back to the room, I sat for about 15 more minutes without being seen then to have a nurse come in, take my blood pressure, temperature, height, weight, etc. Any other COVID test site does nothing of the sort. You drive up, show your ID, they swab you, you leave. I waited about another 15-20 minutes AFTER the nurse to get the actual COVID test which took all of 10 seconds. I was there over an hour for the test.
Besides the large amount of time spent there (with no other patients at the facility), it was a pleasant, clean, and safe experience.
Thank you for the COVID test and I hope I never have to visit again (in a good way). Thank you!

They are amazing!! Tina is always so kind, compassionate, and thorough. And Mindy was SO awesome. She gave me a steroid shot, and it was the least painful shot I’ve ever had. She was also very kind and compassionate, and we won’t go anywhere … More else. 😊

Since I had a scheduled appt, the wait was a bit longer than it should have been, but I do understand that people who come in for emergencies need to be seen 1st.
The only real issue I had, with their processes, is the part the staff doesn't
… More control. Its the texts thati kept getting stating. They were very busy and my appt will be different than time I was quoted.
That's why I gave the 4 star instead of a 5 star rating.
The wording of those texts lead me to think my appt was getting pushed back farther. In return, I thought I was supposed to wait until they called me before coming in.
Luckily, I decided to call and verify that 1st. I spoke with Mandy.
She was great and explained it to me. She said I wasn't the only one who got confused by those texts. She's very positive and made feel important and heard.
Many people that are very sick might think the way I do and end up having their appt. cancelled due to miscommunication.
I forget the name of the nurse but she was also easy to work with.
I was very impressed by Michelle, the P.A. She was so good about listening and explaining every question I had. She didn't talk over my head. She used understandable layman's terms when explaining my condition. She told me the prescription she prescribed could cause yeast infections. In addition,
Michelle explained that i should be getting probiotics while I'm taking it. She explained that probiotic supplements are good to use if i can't get or eat things foods with probiotics in.them.
I had trouble getting my prescriptions. That was because Kroger was using the wrong npi number for the doctor. It took over 2½ hours and my research making several calls to my insurance before Kroger finally got it correct. In the end, I went home and had a family pick drop them up for me.
When I got the meds I was even more impressed with Michelle. There were 2 prescriptions. She was proactive and actually prescribed a UTI med that helps stop UTIs before they begin.
I'm diabetic so if you know much about diabetes, youknow how much I appreciated her for that.
    Thank you all so much
