About Millington | Urgent Care

Illnesses, injuries, and accidents can rear their ugly head at any time, whether day or night. That is why we at Fast Pace Health staff all our urgent care clinics with highly-trained health professionals to help offer your fast, compassionate, and cost-effective care for you and your family. Our Millington, TN walk-in urgent care clinic is conveniently located on HWY 51 North.

We Are Here When Care Can’t Wait

Here at Fast Pace Health, we strive to make our urgent care clinics as accessible as possible, whether it be day or not, making them a great alternative for those who don’t have time to waste.

Urgent care clinics are a great alternative to crowded emergency room departments. However, those long emergency department waits are not the fault of hospitals.

Hospital emergency rooms are often severely understaffed and stretched very thin. Urgent care clinics help take the burden off of busy emergency room departments when it comes to treating mild illnesses and injuries.

Urgent Care, an Emergency Room Alternative

One advantage that urgent care clinics have over hospital emergency room departments is the differences in patient triage. This could put you at the back of the line in the emergency room.

Emergency room departments are set up to handle the most critical patients first. While that ankle sprain or sore throat may be painful, you’ll probably be waiting for a while.

Since emergency rooms are not set up on a first-come, first-serve basis, you could be stuck waiting for hours to receive care. Compare that to 15 minutes at most of our urgent care centers.

However, some conditions do call for emergency treatment, including:

  • Seizures
  • Major trauma and bleeding
  • Severe chest pains
  • OB complications
  • Life-threatening conditions

In addition, emergency room departments have more access to screening exams (e.g. CT scans). But, these can take hours, even days, to receive.

Higher Costs of ERs

Emergency room departments can also come with a hefty hospital bill. On average, they’re much more costly than urgent care clinics. At Fast Pace Health, we accept most private insurance plans. We also offer self-pay options for those without insurance.

A Primary Care Appointment Alternative

Urgent care can also make a great alternative to those far-off primary care appointments. A simple appointment to address seasonal allergies could be days away, in the meantime, you’re sneezing endlessly and running out of tissues. Urgent care solves this problem.

Also, most primary care offices do not have after-hours care to help treat patients who need treatment during those evening hours. Our urgent care hours go beyond the standard 9 to 5.

If you are looking for primary care, we offer it at select Fast Pace Health locations. Primary care services include preventive care, women’s health, disease management, lab work, immunizations, and much more.

Telehealth Services: Care From the Comfort of Home

In addition, our Millington, TN urgent care center is now offering orthopedic services to treat a variety of muscle, bone, and joint pain. Get virtual care from the comfort of your home through our telehealth service or visit our clinic. We’re open seven days a week. No appointment required. Just walk in or save your spot in line today.

We are offering telehealth services for both new and existing patients. These telehealth services are similar to those you’ll receive at one of our urgent care clinics, but they come with the comfort of home.

Our telehealth healthcare professionals can provide care for numerous ailments. In addition, we can also prescribe and refill many common medications associated with common illnesses.

There is no appointment required. Telehealth hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m CT, and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. CT.

Urgent Care: What We Treat

Fast Pace urgent care clinics are staffed with highly qualified and knowledgeable healthcare providers trained to diagnose and treat various injuries and illnesses. Let’s take a look at some of the most common conditions that could bring you to our Millington location.

Cold and Flu Symptoms

Common cold symptoms are one of the major reasons for primary care visits every year. This includes nasal congestion, coughing, sneezing, and more. It can be miserable waiting for your appointment time.

We also treat symptoms brought on by the flu, many of which overlap with cold symptoms. Fevers are a tell-tale sign of the flu, in addition to body aches and fatigue. Thankfully, urgent care is set up to handle the various cold and flu symptoms.

Broken Bones, Burns, and More

Broken bones and minor burns bring thousands of people into the emergency room every year. Fractures often require splinting, bracing, and pain management, all of which we can handle.

Also, our urgent care clinics treat cases of mild burns, which include first-degree burns anywhere on the body or 2nd degree burns less than 2 to 3 inches in circumference.

In addition to minor burns and broken bones, we can treat minor injuries that don’t require emergency room visits. These can include lacerations, bruises, and bumps to the head.

Severe injuries, like third-degree burns, compound fractures, and major trauma, require immediate emergency medical attention.

We Treat Nausea and Vomiting

Stomach viruses and food poisoning are other popular reasons for ER visits. Symptoms of these conditions include nausea and vomiting. Imagine spending hours sitting in an emergency room dealing with these symptoms. Thankfully, our urgent care can help.

If nausea and vomiting symptoms last more than 24 hours or you find yourself unable to hold down any food or liquids, then it’s time to come visit us.

Our medical providers can help diagnose and treat symptoms of nausea and vomiting. Some of these treatments include IV fluids and prescription anti-nausea medications.

This location was very convenient for me, they were an amazing group of only 3. The Front desk, Nurse and Doctor. Ms Patricia in the front kept me informed, sorry I didn’t get the nurse name but she made me feel very comfortable. Dr Justin … More B. had very good bed side matter. He listen to my concerns ran the necessary test to figure out my issue. With the amount of patients they had with only 3 people in the office working they did a great job!!

The location was great. This was my first visit, I was a walk in, and there was a 1 1/2 hour wait. The receptionist didn’t greet me or ask if she could help me; she just stared at me. I asked where to sign in and she pointed to the kiosk. … More I registered on line while waiting and the time passed quickly. I was able to check my place in line on the website. It was clean, quiet and a little cool. The medical staff worked quickly. I was comfortable with them. I’m just wondering if they should have drawn lab.

Had an absolute great experience here yesterday evening! I came in for inflammation causing severe migraines and my medical history is monumental but Dr. R and the nurse that works there were so kind, understanding, patient and they did … More all they could to help me through this. If they remain there then this is absolutely the place I will go for any emergent health needs. Seriously, thanks so much to the medical team and I can't forget the really kind front desk lady. Keep up the great work and thank you so much!!
