Get Quick, Compassionate Care With Fast Pace Health

At Fast Pace Health, our highly-skilled team of healthcare professionals works each day to make our local urgent care clinics accessible for all, especially for those in rural areas. We seek to provide excellent urgent care, education, and accessibility to those who aren’t close to a hospital or primary care office.

Urgent care makes a great option for you and your family when you don’t have time to spare. With our ability to service non-life-threatening needs closer to home, we’ve eliminated the need to travel to a hospital or emergency room far away.

Emergency room departments are flooded with millions of people each year. Most are seen for non-life-threatening injuries and are never admitted. Urgent care clinics help lift the burden from busy ERs by offering an alternative for the treatment of minor illnesses and injuries.

Urgent care centers also make a great alternative when you can’t get a primary care appointment. In fact, extended waits are making same-day access to medical care more and more challenging for many people. We help solve this issue.

Benefits of Fast Pace Health Urgent Care

Let’s take a quick look to highlight some of the many benefits of choosing Fast Pace Health’s Winchester, Tennessee medical center for your and your family’s urgent care needs.

Fast, Quality Care

If you walk into an ER with a minor injury or illness, you could find yourself sitting in the waiting room for hours. Emergency rooms are not set up on a first come, first serve basis. Rather, patient triage is how they operate — the most critical patients are seen first. You can expect a wait time of around 15 minutes or less at one of our urgent care clinics.

Also, our care will be the same level you expect at a hospital and primary care office. Our staff is made up of highly trained and highly passionate health professionals that are eager to serve their communities.

Affordable Care for You and Your Loved Ones

At Fast Pace Health, we seek to make care accessible for all people. In many cases, emergency room visits tend to come with a much higher price tag compared to the cost of urgent care. Thankfully, at Fast Pace Health, we accept most private insurance plans and even offer self-pay options for those without insurance.

We Also Offer Telehealth for Care From Home

We got great news: You can now get virtual care from the comfort of your home through our telehealth service or visit our clinic. In addition, our Winchester urgent care center is now offering virtual care from the comfort of your home through our telehealth service.

This goes for both new and existing patients. With our telehealth services, you’ll still receive the same quality care as you would at one of our walk-in clinics — but you get to enjoy it from home. Our telehealth providers can provide care for many common illnesses and prescribe many of the most common medications.

Our telehealth hours are flexible too. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. CT and on Saturdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. CT, and Sundays from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. CT. There is no need for an appointment.

What We Treat at Our Winchester Location

Urgent care centers are set up to handle minor injuries, accidents, and illnesses. Let’s take a look at some of the most common conditions that could bring you through our front doors at our Winchester location.

Minor Injuries: Burns, Broken Bones, and More

Minor burns, fractures, cuts, and bruises account for thousands of hospital emergency room visits every year. Thankfully, we can take care of most of these minor injuries at our urgent care center.

Mild burns refer to first-degree burns anywhere on the body or second-degree burns less than two or three inches in circumference. We can also handle sprains and broken bones that require splinting, bracing, and pain management.

Our healthcare professionals are equipped to handle other common injuries, too, including lacerations, scrapes, and bumps to the head (concussions).

Choosing an urgent care clinic for your minor injuries can help avoid the stress that comes with waiting in a crowded emergency room. However, it is important to understand that more severe injuries and traumas still require immediate emergency medical attention. This may include third-degree burns, compound fractures, severe head injuries, and more.

Nausea and Vomiting Symptoms

The stomach virus wreaks havoc every year as it makes its way through school and the workplace. Along with other gastrointestinal issues, some of the most unbearable symptoms include nausea and vomiting. Of course, nausea and vomiting are not limited to stomach viruses, it can also occur through food poisoning.

Thankfully, our urgent care clinics can help when these symptoms have you sidelined. If you have symptoms that last more than 24 hours or you find yourself unable to hold down food or liquid, stop by and see us. Common treatments and interventions typically include IV fluids and prescription of anti-nausea medications.

We Treat Cold and Flu Symptoms Too

The common cold is the number one reason why many people miss work and school every year. There are over 200 different viruses that could cause the common cold! These symptoms also bring millions of people into their primary care professional’s office.

These symptoms include a runny nose, sneezing, watery eyes, and coughing — lots of coughing. Cold symptoms are often confused with the flu, while these symptoms overlap with the flu, a fever, body aches, and fatigue are generally caused by the flu alone.

Thankfully, our urgent care clinics are equipped to handle and treat symptoms of the common cold and the flu.

When To Choose the Emergency Room

In many cases, urgent care offers a better option than an emergency room for those with minor injuries or illnesses. However, there are also some potentially life-threatening medical emergencies that require immediate treatment from an emergency room, like:

  • Major trauma and bleeding
  • Loss of consciousness
  • Seizures or convulsions
  • OB complications
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Heart attackor stroke symptoms
  • Severe burns
  • Poisoning
  • Severe abdominal pain or chest pain
  • Suicidal or homicidal thoughts

I highly recommend this urgent care. We were here on a trip with family for the week and my young daughter ended up sick on the last day. The nurse at the front desk was so sweet and cheery. They brought her back fast, were so kind and … More gentle with her (she was quite nervous). They spoke very calmly to my daughter directly telling her what they were going to do and asking her permission before they touched her. They spoken in words that she would also understand which took some of the scariness out of it for her. They ran the tests quickly, pin pointed the problems and got her on the right meds to get her feeling better. It been a couple days and shes already feeling so much better. If we are ever back in the area and need care, I know where to go!! Thank you all so much for you kindness and being gentle ❤️

I walked in and was immediately kindly greeted by the front desk clerk. She took my documents, performed some clerical duties, and kindly advised me to take a seat. And she advised me not hat the technician would be summoning me shortly. … More There were three people in front of me. It took a short 10- 15 minutes before the technician called out for me. The technician guided me to the back were sat me down and advised me of all of what was about to happen. She then asked me did I have any questions? We conducted the visit where she advised me if the post appointment actions. And asked again did I have any questions? She directed me to the exit where upon exiting, the front desk clerk advised me to have a wonderful day. This is particularly refreshing to me, relocating here from a northeastern state. I left actually feeling that I have been served in a professional and caring way. I thank Fast Pace Health for the wonderful service they provided me!

My initial visit was very efficient and positive. I could not fill the code I received as a text two times.; so I filled out paperwork instead. However, the office person was very understanding so that I did not feel uncomfortable filling … More out paperwork. The nurse gave a diagnosis different from what I thought and set up an appointment for me for the following week so the dermatologist can check my area of concern. Fantastic team work!
